Osmos is hypnotic in a wonderful way. Slowly propel your little orb through space. Suck up orbs smaller than you, avoid larger orbs lest you be sucked up. Sounds simple. Engrossing to play.
Each level presents a different challenge; you may have to strategically push large orbs away with your propulsion blast while staying out of harm's way yourself, you may be circling a gravity mass while using your propulsion to change the shape of your orbit to best avoid or collide with other orbs, or you may be chasing intelligent blobs around a field as you each race to become the largest.
This game is part puzzle game, part relaxation tool, part geometry and gravity experiment. Being able to easily adjust how quickly time passes as you glide is a nice touch.
The background ambient music adds to the entrancing effect for the most part. There's one track I find irritating and distracting, but that's just personal opinion. For the most part the music is great.
I've spent way too much time on this game. Make sure to have a clock nearby as you play, lest you find yourself awake far past your bedtime.
I should also mention this is the first and only game I have purchased. I consider it well worth the money. (Purchased through Play Store.)
